Supervisory positions for post-doctoral psychologists and provisionally licensed clinicians in New York
About the practice
Palm Beach Psychotherapy Center is a telehealth group practice led by Dr. Tanya Siff, a licensed psychologist with more than 25 years of clinical experience. Dr. Siff earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Adelphi University and practices from a psychoanalytic and psychodynamic orientation. She is licensed in New York, Florida, Pennsylvania, and Ohio.
The practice works with adults, adolescents, couples, and families across a range of concerns including anxiety, depression, eating disorders, addiction, trauma, relationship difficulties, infertility, and life transitions.
The opportunity
Dr. Siff is currently accepting applications from clinicians seeking supervised post-doctoral or provisional licensure hours in New York. Positions are fully remote — all patient sessions and supervision are conducted via telehealth, satisfying New York State's face-to-face supervision requirement.
This is a paid position with a competitive compensation structure. Supervisees build their own caseload of insured patients through Headway, which handles billing and credentialing — meaning you can begin seeing patients with Aetna and Cigna coverage from the start, without the typical multi-month credentialing wait.
What we offer
Formal individual and group supervision meeting New York State licensure requirements, with a minimum of one hour of individual face-to-face supervision per week conducted by secure video.
Co-signing of progress notes and treatment plans through Headway's platform, with structured feedback as part of each review.
Access to an established referral stream through Headway, Alma, Psychology Today, and ZocDoc — you are not starting from zero.
A psychodynamically oriented supervisory relationship. Dr. Siff's supervision style is thoughtful, collaborative, and grounded in helping you develop genuine clinical depth, not just log hours.
Competitive compensation on a revenue-share basis. You keep a percentage of each session you conduct — the practice handles all insurance billing and your share is paid to you on a regular schedule. Your earnings grow directly with your caseload, giving you full visibility into what you're generating and a clear incentive to build..
Flexible scheduling. All work is telehealth, so there is no commute and no geographic requirement. You can be based anywhere in New York State.
Who we're looking for
We are open to candidates at several licensure stages:
Post-doctoral psychologists (PsyD or PhD) who have completed an APA-accredited internship and are accumulating the supervised hours required for full licensure in New York. Informal private practice post-docs are a well-established path in New York and a strong fit for clinicians building toward independent practice.
Provisionally licensed clinicians including LMSWs (Licensed Master Social Workers) and MHC-LPs (Mental Health Counselors with Limited Permits) who need supervised hours toward full licensure in New York.
Strong candidates will have a clinical interest that aligns with the practice's areas of focus, a genuine interest in psychodynamic thinking, and the self-direction to thrive in a telehealth private practice setting. Prior experience with adult outpatient populations is preferred but not required.
Must have some weekend/evening availability.
How to apply
Send a CV and a brief note about where you are in your licensure process and what you're looking for in a supervisory relationship to dasiff@gmail.com. Dr. Siff reviews all applications personally and will reach out to schedule a conversation with candidates who appear to be a good fit.
We are an equal opportunity practice and welcome applicants from all backgrounds. Clinicians with experience working across diverse cultural, religious, and socioeconomic communities are especially encouraged to apply.
